About MBHS Alumni Association (NY Chapter)
The Morant Bay High School Alumni Association (NY Chapter) is a 501 © (3), Not-For-Profit Organization founded in 1986. The Association is derived at benefiting Jamaican Children of the Morant Bay High School in Education and Educational Resources, including Social and Economic Development at the school.
The MBHS Alumni Association as a Non-Profit Organization which over the past decade has provided a total of 26 scholarships and grants and funded special projects to foster the development of the Morant Bay High School. The organization has since recognized these individuals, linked to the Caribbean and United States of America and who have made exceptional contributions to the world around them.
Mission Statement
The mission of The Morant Bay High School Alumni Association is to develop the leaders of tomorrow by preparing all students to meet the high academic, technical, civic, and workforce challenges of the twenty-first-century.
We believe that strong leadership throughout our united community of alumni members, faculty members, students, parents and associates will move us toward our goals.
We, therefore, hold in the highest regard the initiative, innovation, planning, effort and teamwork that result in academic rigor, in standard setting student performance and in continuous improvement.
History
The Association was formed by a group of past students who came together in 1986 with an agenda. The Association went through several changes and faced many obstacles and was transformed in 1997. Annual Report
From Communications and Marketing to Membership, Social and Economic Development and more, the Association meets once on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Scheduled meeting time is at 5:30 pm sharp. Members will be notified of the Venue from time-to-time.
