Greetings From The Canadian Chapter
On behalf of the MBHS Alumni Association Toronto, I wish to convey well wishes to the New York Chapter as you celebrate another milestone in the life of this Organization. Twenty four years is indeed a long stretch for a service organization that has so much to offer with the efforts of the very few who must ensure that the staging goes on. This celebration is a reminder that our alma mater continues to be a beacon of hope for the student population that it serves, and the Parish of St. Thomas. Through your efforts and generosity, the school continues to do well, and impact the world at large.
This anniversary at this time of the year, allows those in attendance an opportunity to seize the moment to reflect on the year gone by, and celebrate another year. An occasion such as this is always welcomed, as it brings us together, to reminisce about the days well spent up on the “Hill” at Highbury Crescent. It is also a time to network and catch up with what’s going in our individual lives. Thanks in large to the current Executive body that have invested a lot of personal time to make this event possible. I laud you for your commitment to your alma mater and the outstanding contributions that you continue to make.
Enjoy the evening, as we wish for this chapter all the success that it deserves while serving the needs of our alma mater. Let us make every effort to celebrate Morant Bay High School fifty years of existence in January 2011.
On a personal level, I look forward to December 31,2010 when I shall say, goodbye to the position of president. It has being eleven years, and it’s time overdue for a CHANGE. Thanks to the working relationship that we’ve had over the years, and they will continue beyond my departure. Notwithstanding, new thinking and creative minds, thus play a significant role in all aspect of success.
Congratulations to your association and may this twenty fourth anniversary celebration be as successful as the others. Thank you
Rupert Edwards
President (MBHSAA Toronto)
